Mission

We are a mission-orientated church that has the desire to follow Christ’s command to go into the world and make disciples of all people.

We believe that the Kingdom of God is built by Christians reaching out to others to proclaim the Good News of Jesus and we want to bring the love of Christ into the heart of our community reaching out and building relationships with those we meet.

Ultimately we want to help people encounter the living Christ and see their lives transformed by the power of God’s love.

Ladies and Men’s breakfasts

Both breakfasts are held twice yearly and are attended not only by our own congregation but also by those from the surrounding area.

The ladies meet in a local hotel whilst the men meet in the Church hall.

Following a cooked breakfast the guest speaker talks about how God has helped them cope through challenging times in their life and those attending are encouraged and touched by the messages.

Fit For Life

This is a ladies event that takes place in the Church hall for 4 weeks each May.  It is a very popular and fun event that is well attended by females from 9 years old to 70+.

Activities such as Line dances are taught followed by a healthy supper with different speakers delivering a short epilogue at the end of each night.

SALT (Seasoned Adults Living Triumphantly)

This group for both men and women over 60 years of age meets every Wednesday from 10.30 -11.45 am in the church hall.

It starts with a cup of tea or coffee and a chat followed by a variety of activities such as chair exercises, quizzes, Boccia and beetle drives.

Parties are organised for special occasions such as Easter and Christmas.

This is a great way to meet other retired people and have fun and is open to everyone in the community.  To view photographs of some of the events click on the link below:

Church Meal

This takes place annually in a local hotel and is a night of fun and fellowship for all.

Following the meal there is light entertainment such as a quiz provided by Rev Beacom.

Church BBQ

The BBQ is another annual event that takes place in the Church hall.   Food is provided and cooked by the congregation and is a great opportunity for both congregations to meet up and have fun together.

Next BBQ will be held on Saturday 10th September 2022.

Walking Group

This group of men and women meets weekly every Wednesday night, weather permitting, during June, July and August to walk approximately 3 miles around the Castle Irvine Estate (Necarne) Irvinestown.

As well as getting fitter, friendships are made and strengthened.  If you would like to join us please meet in the car park at 8 pm.

Zumba

Zumba is running from 5th May - 16th June 2022 in the church hall to encourage physical fitness for both young and not so young in the community!  A great way to burn calories and have fun at the same time and maybe even go down a dress size!.

Wellbeing Journey

This course that ran weekly from September - November 2021 explored how we could improve our physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing.  Each night started with a short video followed by informal small group discussion.  Feedback from the course was very positive with 93% of people saying they would definitely recommend the course to others.

As well as improving wellbeing everyone had good fun and enjoyed meeting new people and getting to know others better.

Please contact Jill if you would be interested in attending the Wellbeing Journey.

Left To Their Own Devices (LTTOD)

This video and discussion based session from Care for the Family took place in April 2022 and will run again in September 2022.

It helps parents, grandparents and carers gain an understanding of the digital world their children connect with and the impact it can have on their lives, both now and in the future.

Topics covered include screen time, gaming, on line bullying, sexting, grooming and pornography. Practical advice is given with the opportunity to talk in small groups with other parents who may be experiencing the same difficulties.  This is a course not to be missed whether your children are still toddlers or in their teens or any age in between.

Details of the next course will be shared on Facebook and on our website shortly.

Wreath Making

This course offers the perfect chance to make a beautiful wreath to brighten up your door under the expert guidance of Berry & Bow Wreaths.

Saturday 26th November 2022

£35 per person (this includes all materials required except a glue gun which can be purchased for £3).

Details of time and how to book your place will be released on Facebook and our website in September 2022.

Mallard Community Hub

This is an exciting new vision where our church is stepping forward to live out the Good News of Jesus in our community in a practical way.

We are in the final stages of purchasing a building on Main Street, Ballinamallard where we propose to open a cafe, provide office space for businesses or individuals and build a large multipurpose community facility.

Please watch this space for further updates.
