Pastoral care is a core value and is at the very heart of ministry within the church. It is born out of compassionate care and is developed in the relationships we foster within our families, churches and communities. Our motto is "People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care".
The whole congregation acts as an unofficial pastoral group simply by being a good neighbour, friend and caller to anyone in need. Rev Beacom and a dedicated pastoral group make regular contact with those who are unable to attend Church. They may be ill or in hospital or require a visit for other specific reasons as they arise. The visits are agreed with the individual and Rev Beacom.
The visits are fexible, informal and offer friendship, help and support. Very often people just want a chat and have someone to listen and these visits provide an opportunity to do just that. and take whatever format is preferred, eg prayer, reading the Bible, or simply having a good chat.

Freezer Ministry
Our Freezer Ministry provides opportunities to show practically the love of God to those in need.
We all experience times when things are hard and preparing and cooking meals for family can be very difficult. The Freezer Ministry, made up of a team of volunteers, meet regularly to prepare nutritious food for distribution at such times. The meal which includes a savoury dish and a dessert are distributed to people who are sick, have just returned home from hospital, have been bereaved, have had a new baby or are experiencing other personal problems. Our volunteers are trained in food hygiene and follow the strictest of guidelines given by the Environmental Health Office.
